Job Details

To provide generalist HR and employment law consultancy services to Clients.
To provide consultancy services relating to the drafting and implementation of employment contracts and employment policies and procedures. To draft documents and manage the ‘contracts process’ including the implementation of documents.
Ensure support to clients is conducted in accordance with relevant legislation, best practice and with a pragmatic approach to meeting the client’s objectives.
Develop relationships with clients on an on-going basis.
1. Manage the Contracts of employment drafting and implementation process with clients.
2. Provide general advice and practical support to Client organisations either over the telephone, on-site (and/or in written format). Support may be required in any of the following areas:
• Performance Management
• Disciplinary procedure
• Grievance procedure
• Employment Rights
• Redundancies
• TUPE Transfers
• Contracts of employment / policy documents
• (Other areas as may arise – e.g. appraisals)

3. Drafting of correspondence for clients (e.g. disciplinary letters, long term absence letters to employees and GP’s)
4. Manage HR projects with client as appropriate (e.g. appraisal schemes, satisfaction surveys etc)
5. Administration – maintaining client files, typing of correspondence, use of ACT, E-mail, Excel, Word and ACCESS.
6. Write updates/news items for clients on subjects to be agreed.
7. Attend networking events and promote the company to prospective clients. Events may take place outside of normal office hours.
8. Carry out basic marketing and client relationship activities e.g. follow up of any proposals, regular contact with clients, attend sales meetings as required, carrying out marketing programme activities.
9. (Possibly) supervise other junior staff or provide training/briefings.
10. Attend consultants meetings as required.
11. Attend and deliver presentation to clients or prospects (e.g. seminars, workshops, promotional events).
12. Any other reasonable duties required to support the needs of the business and as requested by the Company.
