An experienced Paraplanner required by a financial services consultancy in Brentwood, Essex.



Dealing with a myriad of clients,the successful applicant will have had worked in a similar environment.



This role is very client focussed and demands that there should be an ability to deal with private clients (large and small) and liase directly with the senior consultant (IFA) for action that needs to be taken.



Although it is virtually impossible to describe a typical day duties will include:



PARAPLANING DUTIES

~ Preparing and maintaining the client files

~ Identify areas for planning

~ Implementing recommendations

~ Liaise with client's legal tax advisers (if applicable)

~ Consider current and future allocation of assets for investments strategy with regard to client risk profile

~ Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations

~ Complete application / proposals forms

~ Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order

~ Implement the chosen investment strategies

~ Act as main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication

~ Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile ect





Skills required



~ Excellent inter-personal skills, both written and verbal

~ Excellent IT skills (full Microsoft Office suite)

~ Able to work within defined business processes

~ Understanding of the Financial Planning process

~ A good knowledge of financial products – for example pensions and bonds

~ Excellent command of written and spoken English

~ Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively

~ Ability to work independently and in a team



Qualifications (essential)



~ Certificate in Financial Planning / Certificate for Financial Advisers
